The literary device I found is "Here we go again." This was said by Bud on p.106. This is a cliffhanger because it makes you want to keep reading. If they're talking and they say "Here we go again," it makes you want to keep reading because if they say this at the end of a chapter it makes you want to know what's going on again.

Another literary device I found was "...your heart turn into a little cup of shaky yellow custard..." this was thought by Bud on p.98. This is a metaphor because it's comparing something without using like or as. It's comparing your heart to a cup of shaky custard. You're really scared so your hearts just flopping around.
